The Cerebral Palsy Foundation Centre (CPFC) is a special needs school based in Tudor, Mombasa, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with them a few times. I helped out with photography during their events, capturing important moments that they could use for their website and social media. I also volunteered at these events, supporting the staff and interacting with the students, which was a really meaningful experience for me.
Alongside that, I created posters and other promotional materials to help them spread the word about their activities both online and in person. One event that stood out to me was their Food Festival, where I volunteered to help sell raffle tickets to raise money for the Centre. It felt great to be part of something that directly supported their work.
At one point, I also sat down with them to give some ideas on how they could improve their marketing and reach more people. Overall, working with CPFC has been a rewarding experience. It allowed me to build my skills in communication, creativity, and organization, while also being part of a cause I really care about.
